A man was killed and a woman was airlifted to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Fresno County on Thursday morning, June 5, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at the intersection of American and Buttonwillow avenues, just north of Reedley.
A woman driving a Toyota Prius reportedly pulled out in front of a northbound white sedan on Buttonwillow Avenue, resulting in a collision.
The man driving the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman in the Prius was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. No other individuals were involved.
Authorities stated that drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
