A passenger was critically injured, and a driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a crash in Santa Clarita early Monday morning, May 19, 2025.
According to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the collision occurred around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of Golden Valley Road and Via Princessa.
Authorities say a 23-year-old woman from North Hills admitted to being the driver, consuming alcohol prior to the crash, and being responsible for the incident.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and determined that the passenger had sustained critical injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DUI causing injury. The investigation remains ongoing.
