Four people were injured and airlifted to trauma centers following a single-vehicle rollover crash at the El Mirage Dry Lake Bed in San Bernardino County on Sunday afternoon, May 18, 2025.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the incident occurred around 1:18 p.m. near Bella Vista and Sheep Creek Road in the unincorporated El Mirage area.
Medic Engine 322 responded to the scene and requested two air ambulances due to the number of injured occupants.
Photos from the crash site show a heavily damaged black Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport with a collapsed roof, shattered windows, and severe front and rear-end damage. Debris was scattered around the vehicle.
Emergency personnel confirmed that four individuals were injured. Two patients were transported in each of the two helicopters to regional trauma centers. Their conditions have not been released.
The California Highway Patrol Victorville Station is investigating the cause of the crash.
