[04-18-2025] 6-Year-Old Boy Airlifted After Bicycle Collision with Pickup Truck in UkiahA 6-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital after being struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle in a north Ukiah neighborhood on Friday evening, April 18, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. on Chablis Drive, near Ukiah High School. 

The boy was riding south on Sauterne Place when he entered the path of a westbound Toyota pickup truck traveling on Chablis Drive. The boy was flown to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. 

The driver remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators. CHP spokesperson Olegario Marin stated there was no indication that the driver was speeding or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The crash remains under investigation.
