A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a collision with a pickup truck on Highway 99 just south of Los Molinos, Tehama County, on Thursday afternoon, April 17, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers responded to the area of Highway 99 and Sherman Street at approximately 4:21 p.m. following reports of a motorcycle-versus-vehicle crash. THE CAL FIRE Tehama-Glenn Unit also arrived at the scene to assist.
The crash occurred when a motorcyclist attempted to pass a white Chevrolet pickup truck that was towing a trailer while traveling southbound on Highway 99. During the maneuver, the motorcycle clipped the front end of the truck, causing the rider to lose control and be ejected from the vehicle. The motorcycle subsequently crashed through a residential fence.
The male rider sustained two broken legs and was transported to Enloe Health in Chico for medical treatment. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
