A rollover crash involving a Nissan Xterra left a young girl injured after the vehicle overturned and came to rest in the front yard of a residence on Cataba Road in Hesperia on Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025.
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the single-vehicle collision occurred around 8:52 a.m. near the intersection of Cataba Road and Mission Street.
Witnesses reported that the SUV had been driving recklessly before it flipped and landed on its side in the 12200 block of Cataba Road.
San Bernardino County Fire crews and American Medical Response personnel arrived at the scene to assist. Hesperia School Police also responded, and two individuals wearing Oak Hills High School jackets were seen nearby.
One young girl, believed to be a student, was transported from a nearby residence with a neck brace. A second ambulance was requested shortly after. A neighbor reported seeing four juveniles exit the SUV following the crash, though the total number of occupants has not been confirmed.
No major injuries have been reported at this time. The CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
