[03-22-2025] Pedestrian Killed After Hit-And-Run Collision in South LAA pedestrian was killed following a hit-and-run collision in the Vermont Knolls neighborhood of South Los Angeles early Saturday morning, March 22, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, officers were dispatched at around 12:12 a.m. to the intersection of South Vermont Avenue and West 109th Place in response to a pedestrian-involved crash.

The pedestrian, whose identity has not yet been confirmed, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Reports from the scene indicated that the driver involved in the incident fled without stopping to provide aid.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by CHP officers.
