A 43-year-old man, identified as Rigoberto A., died following a six-vehicle crash at the Florin Road and Lindale Drive intersection in Sacramento on Saturday evening, March 15, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. when Rigoberto, driving a 2005 Infiniti SUV, struck the rear of a Chrysler Pacifica stopped in the left turn lane of westbound Florin Road at a high rate of speed. The impact sent the Chrysler across the intersection.
Rigoberto then veered northwest through the intersection, colliding with four additional vehicles that were also stopped. Authorities confirmed that he was not wearing a seat belt and sustained major injuries at the scene. He was transported to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Other individuals involved in the crash only reported minor injuries or vehicle damage, according to CHP Officer Mark Leavitt.
It remains unclear whether alcohol, drugs, or medical factors contributed to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
