A 41-year-old man died in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Hayward, early Sunday morning, March 16, 2025.
According to the Hayward Police Department, officers responded to reports of a crash at around 3:25 a.m. near Mission Boulevard and Gresel Street.
Upon arrival, they found the vehicle overturned onto its driver’s side after striking the east curb of Mission Boulevard.
The victim, a Hayward resident whose identity has not been released, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing two unidentified males fleeing the scene following the crash. Authorities have not ruled out drugs or alcohol as possible factors in the incident.
