[03-12-2025] Bicyclist Critically Injured After Crash with SUV on Palm Avenue in Egger HighlandsA 45-year-old bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a 2014 Ford Explorer in Egger Highlands in San Diego, on Wednesday evening, March 12, 2025.

According to the San Diego Police Department, officers responded to the 1600 block of Palm Avenue around 7:39 p.m. A 51-year-old woman was driving the Explorer westbound when the bicyclist reportedly rode into its path and was struck.

The victim was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The SDPD Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
