A man was killed, and another was injured after a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 680 near Jacklin Road in Milpitas on Tuesday afternoon, February 25, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 2:00 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-680.
A 44-year-old San Jose man driving a 2000 Ford pickup truck died from his injuries at the scene. Another motorist involved in the crash was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
The identity of the deceased man is being withheld pending formal identification and notification of his next of kin by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office.
No arrests or citations have been issued in connection with the fatal collision.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
