A tragic rollover crash on the northbound 15 Freeway in Apple Valley, San Bernardino County, resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries early Saturday morning, February 22, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 6:12 a.m. near Dale Evans Parkway when a white 2019 Audi Q5 veered off the road and rolled over multiple times.
Emergency responders were alerted to the crash through an iPhone TC alert, and dispatchers noted hearing a female moaning in the background during the call.
First responders discovered the vehicle severely damaged and located off the freeway in a desert field. CHP logs reported that the Audi rolled seven times before coming to a stop.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Firefighters extricated the driver and one passenger, both of whom were critically injured. A fourth individual in the vehicle sustained less critical injuries.
Two helicopters were dispatched to airlift the critically injured victims to a trauma center, while the individual with less severe injuries was transported by ground to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Apple Valley.
The CHP is actively investigating the cause of the crash.
