A multi-vehicle collision left a truck overturned in the center divide near Welk Resort in San Diego County, on Tuesday afternoon, February 4, 2025,
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported around 1:45 p.m. near Deer Springs Road. Witnesses stated that a black Chevrolet Silverado, a Ford F-150, and several other vehicles were involved.
Initial reports indicate that a semi-truck collided with a black sedan, while at least two white vehicles and another black car stopped in the center divider. One vehicle lost a wheel and came to a stop in traffic lanes, while another went up an embankment.
Emergency dispatchers received an open 911 call from the scene, with a caller reporting that a truck rolled over multiple times before coming to rest in the center divider.
CHP and fire crews responded, with multiple units arriving within minutes. Several tow trucks were requested but later canceled.
It is unclear if there were any injuries, but at least one person appeared to have been transported from the scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
