[02-04-2025] Two Killed in Highway 101 Crash Involving DUI Driver in BradleyTwo people were killed in a crash on southbound Highway 101 in Bradley, Monterey County on Tuesday night, February 4, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 38-year-old Anthony H. was driving a 2023 Ford Transit U-Haul rental van with three passengers. Two of the passengers were unrestrained and lying on a mattress in the rear cargo area of the van.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway before overturning down a steep dirt embankment. The two passengers in the rear suffered blunt force trauma and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Hospital in San Luis Obispo, where authorities determined he was under the influence of drugs. After receiving medical clearance, he was booked into the Monterey County Jail in Salinas.

The crash remains under investigation.
