According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred just after 1:00 a.m. in the 7100 block of El Cajon Boulevard.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the female passenger to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was evaluated at the scene and subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
