A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle in Vallejo on Saturday night, January 25, 2025, marking the city’s first traffic fatality of the year.
According to the Vallejo Police Department, the collision occurred around 8:22 p.m. near the intersection of Sonoma Boulevard and Lemon Street. Officers responding to the scene found an injured man lying unresponsive in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Solano County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
Police reported that the driver involved cooperated with the investigation and is not suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
