An 18-year-old Alpine man was killed, and two others were injured following a three-vehicle collision on Dehesa Road in Rancho San Diego on Monday afternoon, January 13, 2025.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:10 p.m. when the teen, driving a 2003 Nissan 350Z westbound on Dehesa Road near Sloane Canyon Road, veered left for unknown reasons and crossed over double yellow lines. The Nissan collided head-on with a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 45-year-old Spring Valley man.
The impact caused the Nissan to crash into a dirt embankment and a wooden utility pole. The Chevrolet driver also lost control and veered into the path of a westbound 2019 Mercedes C63, driven by a 24-year-old El Cajon man, resulting in a secondary collision.
The teen driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chevrolet driver sustained major injuries and was transported to Sharp Grossmont Hospital, while the Mercedes driver suffered minor injuries.
Authorities have not determined if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. The CHP is actively investigating the incident.

What A Lawyer Can Do For You
Many victims put off calling a lawyer even if they sustain injuries after an accident. However, lawyers can help you in many ways. They can provide you with police reports, CCTV footage, and witness statements to strengthen your case. Your attorney will also negotiate with insurance companies to get you fair compensation. The best part is that they will do all of these things for you at no upfront cost. So if you’re injured in an accident, hire a personal injury attorney to recover medical bills, car repair costs, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
