[01-12-2025] Two Men Killed After Head-On Crash on State Route 33 Near Fresno CountyTwo men were killed in a head-on collision on State Route 33 near Fresno County on Sunday night, January 12, 2025.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:40 p.m. just south of State Route 198.

A man driving a Lexus sedan was traveling northbound in the southbound lane at a high rate of speed when he collided head-on with a Honda sedan traveling southbound.

The impact of the crash ejected the Honda driver from his vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Lexus caught fire, trapping its driver inside. He was also pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
