[12-24-2024] Male Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Cordelia Road in FairfieldA male pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Cordelia Road, just east of Lopes Road, in Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon, December 24, 2024.

According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers responded to the scene around 4:00 p.m. and located the pedestrian, along with the involved vehicle and driver. 

The pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver remained at the site and is cooperating with authorities. Police stated that impairment from drugs or alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the fatal crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
