A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a Kia sedan at the intersection of Wilson Road and Larson Lane in Bakersfield on Tuesday evening, December 17, 2024.
The Bakersfield Police Department reported that the collision occurred at approximately 6:10 p.m. The motorcyclist, a man riding a black Yamaha motorcycle, was traveling eastbound on Wilson Road when the driver of a black Kia sedan made a westbound-to-southbound left turn, resulting in the crash.
Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to a nearby hospital with major injuries. The driver of the Kia sedan, also a man, was unharmed and cooperated with officers at the scene.
Bakersfield police stated that neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
