According to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Greg Barta, the crash occurred just after 3:00 p.m. on Santiago Canyon Road near Red Rock Canyon Road.

Emergency responders transported all five victims — two adults from the SUV, the bus driver, and two children from the school bus — to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported their conditions as serious but stable.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
