A motorcyclist was killed, and another suffered major injuries in a crash on Carmel Valley Road in Monterey County, on Friday evening, December 13, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported around 7:00 p.m. and involved two motorcyclists. For reasons yet to be determined, the two motorcycles collided, causing one rider to be ejected.
The ejected motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second rider was transported to Natividad Medical Center with major injuries.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the crash. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
