[12-13-2024] One Killed, Three Injured After Rollover Crash on I-5 Near Anderson Grade in YrekaOne person was killed, and three others were injured after a rollover crash in Yreka, early Friday morning, December 13, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 12:14 a.m. on southbound Interstate 5 near Anderson Grade.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a 1991 Toyota Previa overturned, with one occupant ejected from the vehicle. The victim, a 61-year-old woman from Woodburn, Oregon, was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.

Three other occupants, including a 75-year-old man, a 34-year-old man from Woodburn, and a 51-year-old man from Gervais, Oregon, were transported to Fairchild Medical Center by Mt. Shasta Ambulance for treatment of minor to major injuries.

Authorities stated that icy road conditions contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
