[12-08-2024] Woman Killed, Man Injured in Suspected DUI Crash Outside HanfordA woman was killed, and a man seriously injured in a suspected DUI crash outside of Hanford, Kings County, early Sunday morning, December 8, 2024.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the intersection of Fargo and 13th Avenues, shortly after midnight. 

Officers reported that the woman, driving a Chevy Traverse north on 13th Avenue, stopped at a 4-way stop before proceeding into the intersection.

At that moment, a man driving a Toyota 4Runner ran a stop sign on Fargo Avenue and collided with the woman’s vehicle.

The woman, in her 30s, succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The man was taken to the hospital with major injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, with authorities suspecting alcohol involvement.
