A teenager and a man sustained injuries after a hit-and-run collision involving a big rig in Fresno County on Wednesday night, December 4, 2024.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of North and Temperance Avenues.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was traveling westbound on North Avenue when a red semi-truck with a white van trailer ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck the pickup truck.
The impact forced the pickup truck underneath the big rig, which fled the scene without stopping.
CHP officials reported that a 14-year-old boy and a man in his 20s were transported to the hospital with moderate to minor injuries.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone with information about the semi-truck’s whereabouts to contact the California Highway Patrol.
