A 48-year-old man, identified as Tiyon C. of Moreno Valley, was killed in a collision with a semi-truck in Perris on Friday afternoon, November 29, 2024.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred around 12:42 p.m. at the intersection of East Ramona Expressway and North Redlands Avenue.
Authorities stated that a semi-truck pulling a box trailer was traveling east on the expressway, preparing to turn right onto North Redlands Avenue.
Tiyon, driving a silver Lexus sedan, collided with the rear of the semi-truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
