One person was injured when a car crashed into the front of a bakery in Oxnard, Ventura County, on Thursday morning, November 21, 2024.
The Oxnard Fire Department responded to the incident at around 9:30 a.m. at a strip mall on the 2400 block of Saviers Road near Laurel Street.
According to Battalion Chief Mike McCaslin, the car had lodged halfway through the bakery’s front wall upon arrival.
A customer inside the bakery sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Approximately three to six employees and customers were inside the bakery at the time of the crash. Firefighters assessed the building for structural damage to ensure safety.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
