[11-05-2024] 66-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle on South Magnolia Avenue in El CajonA 66-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in El Cajon on Tuesday evening, November 5, 2024.

According to the El Cajon Police Department, the incident occurred at 5:17 p.m. at 800 South Magnolia Avenue. 

The pedestrian was hit by a 2018 black Ford Fusion, driven by a person who remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The pedestrian was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities are withholding his identity pending family notification.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
