A fatal multi-vehicle collision occurred on the westbound Riverside (91) Freeway near McKinley Street in Riverside on early Saturday morning, October 26, 2024.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the crash site around 3:38 a.m., where they located several damaged vehicles, including a black semi-truck with a white trailer, a black Honda Accord, a white Lexus, and a white Toyota Camry.
The Riverside CHP confirmed that at least one person was killed in the incident. However, it remains unclear if additional victims sustained injuries or if the deceased passed away at the scene.
The CHP issued a SigAlert and temporarily closed three lanes on the westbound freeway for investigation as officers worked to determine the cause of the collision.
