Six children and one adult were injured following a collision involving a school bus and two other vehicles in Rancho Mirage on Tuesday afternoon, October 22, 2024.
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the crash was reported at 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of Bob Hope Drive and Ramon Road.
Fire officials confirmed that six children on the bus sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. An adult from one of the other vehicles was also hospitalized with moderate injuries.
While the ages of the students on the bus were not immediately available, a Coachella Valley Unified School District representative on the scene stated that there were 17 students aboard when the crash occurred.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
