[10-11-2024] Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Minivan on Bonita RoadA pedestrian was fatally struck by a minivan while walking on Bonita Road west of Willow Street in Bonita, San Diego County, on Friday night, October 11, 2024.

The incident was reported around 7:30 p.m. when a 66-year-old man driving a Chrysler Town and Country collided with a pedestrian, according to California Highway Patrol officials.

Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene before he could be transported to a hospital.

The minivan’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators.

The victim’s identity has not been disclosed pending family notification, and the CHP continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
