A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on state Route 94 in the Lemon Grove area early Monday morning, September 30, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred just before 12:30 a.m. when a white vehicle struck a motorcycle on eastbound SR-94 near College Grove Way. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene following the collision.
Witnesses reported stopping to pull the motorcyclist out of the roadway, but the rider was struck by another passing vehicle. Despite paramedics’ efforts, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released a detailed description of the suspect’s vehicle. The investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing.
