[09-26-2024] Motorcyclist Killed After Collision Involving Another Motorcycle in Long BeachA man riding a motorcycle was killed after colliding with another motorcycle in Long Beach late Thursday night, September 26, 2024.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:55 p.m. on Artesia Boulevard near Long Beach Boulevard. 

The identity of the man who died at the scene has not been released. Another man involved in the crash was treated at a hospital for unspecified injuries.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Harley-Davidson and a 2005 Harley-Davidson were traveling eastbound on Artesia Boulevard next to each other when the two motorcycles collided. This caused the rider of the 2004 Harley-Davidson to crash into a parked vehicle, police said.

Authorities stated that speed, distracted driving, or impairment are not believed to be factors in the collision. 

The cause remains under investigation.
