[09-27-2024] Woman Killed After Collision Between School Bus and SUV in LancasterA woman was killed when a school bus and an SUV collided in Lancaster on Friday morning, September 27, 2024.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred just after 7:00 a.m. in the 1700 block of Columbia Way. 

The bus, which was not carrying any children, collided with a Kia Sorento. Preliminary investigations indicate that the bus was headed west on Avenue M when the Sorento swerved into traffic for unknown reasons, resulting in a head-on collision with the bus.

The driver of the Kia was killed in the crash, while two adults on the bus were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
