[09-23-2024] Two People Killed After Motorcycle Vs. Vehicle Crash on Highway 70Two people were killed after a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash in Yuba County on Monday night, September 23, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:28 p.m. on Highway 70, south of Nobel Road.

Authorities stated that a 21-year-old man from Marysville was driving a Toyota Corolla, exiting a driveway in the 8000 block of Highway 70. 

Meanwhile, a 62-year-old man from Marysville was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle with a 63-year-old woman as a passenger, traveling northbound in the number two lane at an unknown speed.

According to the CHP, Lamberto B., driving the Corolla, left the driveway, turned towards Highway 70 southbound, and pulled directly into the path of the Harley Davidson. The motorcycle collided with the left rear door of the Toyota, causing both the rider and passenger to be ejected.

Emergency services arrived on the scene and pronounced the rider and passenger dead at 11:48 p.m. Neither alcohol nor drugs were considered factors in this crash, according to the CHP.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
