A man was hospitalized after a three-car crash in Santa Clarita on Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol officials, the initial call about a disabled vehicle blocking lanes on the southbound side of Highway 14, south of Via Princessa, went out around 3:55 a.m.
While officers were responding to the call, they learned that the disabled car, a tan 2000 Honda sedan, was struck by a Nissan Altima and then sideswiped by another Honda sedan before it became stranded in the middle lanes, facing traffic.
The driver of the Honda, who was in his vehicle at the time of the collision, sustained major injuries and was taken to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

Officials reported no suspicion of drugs or alcohol as factors in the crash.
