A 7-year-old girl was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Santa Rosa on Saturday evening, September 7, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol spokesperson David deRutte, the incident occurred just before 7:00 p.m. on Green Valley Road, north of Sullivan Road.

Authorities determined that a mother and her children were walking along the east shoulder of the roadway when a white car traveling northbound veered to the right and hit the child.

CHP is still investigating and searching for the driver responsible for the collision.
