Several people were injured after a 17-year-old driver crashed head-on into a Toyota near the town of Firebaugh on Sunday morning, September 8, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 12:25 a.m. in the area of Nees and Oxford Avenues.
The teen was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe westbound at a speed of 60 mph when, for reasons unknown, he veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a 2014 Toyota Sienna driven by a 21-year-old man traveling eastbound at 58 mph.
Both drivers and the occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
