Three people were taken to the hospital after a rollover crash in San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, September 4, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:18 p.m. on southbound State Route 163 near the Exit 20 ramp from Interstate 805.
Authorities stated that a Subaru sideswiped a semi-truck, veered off the road, traveled up an embankment, and then re-entered the freeway.
As the Subaru entered the Exit 20 ramp, it began moving erratically and swerved into oncoming traffic on southbound SR-163. The vehicle struck a white Ford SUV and flipped onto its side.
The driver and passenger of the Subaru, as well as the driver of the Ford SUV, were transported to the hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.
Driving under the influence is not suspected in the crash. There is no additional information immediately available.
