Three people, including a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department deputy, were hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash in Mead Valley, Riverside County on Tuesday night, August 27, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10:00 p.m. near Brown and Oakwood streets.
Authorities stated that a white sedan ran a stop sign and collided with the deputy’s patrol car. The sedan then rolled down an embankment and overturned.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed two individuals trapped inside the sedan. Both were taken to a hospital with severe injuries. The deputy involved in the crash was also hospitalized, though the extent of his injuries remains unknown.
