[08-24-2024] At Least Five People Injured After Head-On Crash on Highway 89 in TruckeeAt least five people were injured after a head-on crash in Truckee, Nevada County, on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

According to the Truckee Fire Protection District, the collision occurred about half a mile south of West River Street on Highway 89. 

Three individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Tahoe Forest Hospital. Two others were critically injured and were taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno for further treatment.
