According to the Monterey Park Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. in the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard. 

Officers responded to the scene and found the man injured. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending notification of his family.

The driver of the vehicle, described as a male adult, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Authorities stated that alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the incident.
