[08-21-2024] Two Men Killed After Dune Buggy Collides with Semi-Truck on Belmont AvenueTwo men were killed following a crash involving a dune buggy and a semi-truck in Fresno County early Wednesday morning, August 21, 2024.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Westlawn Avenue. 

A dune buggy, which was traveling on Westlawn without lights, collided with a semi-truck heading east on Belmont.

Both men in the dune buggy were declared dead at the scene. Officers noted that the dune buggy was not street-legal.

It is currently unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
