A 76-year-old pedestrian woman was severely injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, on Wednesday night, August 14, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 9:05 p.m. when a dark-colored SUV traveling westbound on Saticoy Street from Van Nuys Boulevard struck the woman as she was crossing the street at Saticoy.
The motorist continued westbound on Saticoy Street without stopping to aid the injured woman. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the woman to a hospital, where she was treated for critical injuries.
