A juvenile riding an electric motorcycle was seriously injured after a collision with a vehicle in Carlsbad on Thursday evening, August 15, 2024.
The Carlsbad Police Department reported that officers responded to calls about a traffic collision at the intersection of Batiquitos Drive and Daisy Avenue shortly after 8:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the injured juvenile in the intersection. Carlsbad Fire Department personnel treated the juvenile at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 39-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
Authorities stated that drugs or alcohol were not considered factors in this collision. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
