According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported shortly after 6:40 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near the South Higuera Street ramp.

Upon arrival, officers found one of the vehicles involved with major front-end damage and obstructing two highway lanes. The authorities have not disclosed any other information, including what caused the crash and the possible injuries suffered by the people involved.

CHP is still gathering all the necessary details to determine the factors leading to the incident.
