[08-06-2024] San Bernardino County, CA – One Person Killed, Two Others Injured Following Two-Vehicle Collision in Apple Valley

One person was killed, while two others were injured following a two-vehicle collision in Apple Valley on Tuesday morning, August 6, 2024.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the accident occurred at about 6:44 a.m. on Bear Valley Road near Quinnault Road.

The crash involved a sedan and an SUV. Authorities said the sedan was traveling eastbound on Bear Valley Road while the SUV was going the opposite lane along the same roadway. For still unknown reasons, the two vehicles crashed into each other.

The sedan driver was pronounced dead at the scene by the responding medical crews. Meanwhile, two occupants of the SUV suffered unspecified injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. One of them was subsequently airlifted to an out-of-area trauma center. 

The authorities are still gathering all the necessary information to determine the factors leading up to the incident.
