A passenger was killed, and a driver was injured after a single-vehicle collision in Lancaster early Saturday morning, August 3, 2024.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the crash happened around 3:15 a.m. at Division Street and Lancaster Boulevard.
Authorities stated that a silver sedan was traveling north on Division Street when it left the roadway and collided with a pole at Lancaster Boulevard. It is unclear why the vehicle veered off the roadway.
A female passenger sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center in critical condition. The victims’ names and ages were not immediately known.
Additional details regarding the incident have yet to be released by the investigators. Police work is underway.
