A woman was hospitalized following a multi-vehicle crash in North Highlands, Sacramento County, on Thursday morning, August 1, 2024.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the traffic collision occurred at about 7:41 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80 near the off-ramp for Madison Avenue.
CHP stated that the incident involved at least two unspecified vehicles. The total number of people affected was not disclosed, but a woman was said to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. The extent of the injury sustained and the current condition of the female victim were not immediately known.
Earlier reports indicated that someone may have sustained minor injuries. It is unclear if that refers to the hospitalized woman or somebody else.
