Injuries are still being examined following a multi-vehicle crash in El Dorado County on Tuesday afternoon, July 30, 2024. 

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 2:20 p.m. on Highway 49 near Jeep Trail. 

Emergency crews responded to initial reports of a multi-vehicle collision. The total number of people affected by the crash was not immediately known, but at least four vehicles were involved. The vehicles were reportedly blocking the roadway, causing major traffic delays. 

Possible injuries are being examined in the crash. The authorities did not identify any of the possibly injured individuals. 

It is unclear how the collision occurred. Drugs, alcohol, and speeding were being investigated as possible factors in the incident. 

CHP is still investigating the crash.
